  9. Oh, I love those fabrics!! Here is a great recipe for some fabulous English Toffee.

    English Toffee

    2 cups sugar
    ½ cup water
    ½ cup Karo syrup
    2 cups butter
    ½ cup slivered almonds
1-2 giant chocolate candy bars, broken into small pieces
    Chopped walnuts

In a heavy pan combine and mix sugar, water, Karo syrup, and butter and slivered almonds. Place lid over pan and cook at medium heat until lid steams. Remove lid and raise heat to medium-high. Continue to cook until color of mixture changes to the color of a brown paper sack. Pour mixture into a greased cookie sheet. Top with chocolate bar pieces and use rubber spatula to spread chocolate even across mixture. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Allow to cool completely. When cooled break mixture into bite size pieces and store in a container.

  17. Cute blog, also checked out Honey Beez. I've been having fun finding some really different and nice blogs to follow around. I'm going to try a cupcake recipe I got off of "Picky Palate" for chocolate cupcakes made with a hot chocolate as the liquid. I think it will solve my choc. fix.

Hot Chocolate Cupcakes With Mint Kissed Centers
    1 Devils Food Cake Mix
    4 eggs
    1/2 Cup vegetable oil
1 small box instant chocolate pudding mix
    1 Cup sour cream
3/4 Cup warm milk mixed with 1 packet hot chocolate mix
24 mint truffle kisses (or the Candy Cane ones work great too)
    3-4 Cups mini marshmallows
    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place cake mix, eggs, oil, pudding mix, sour cream and mixed hot chocolate into a stand mixer on medium speed. Mix until well combined, about 1 1/2 minutes. Scoop into 24 paper lined muffin tins about 3/4 full. Place a mint truffle kiss into center of each cupcake pressing to bottom. Bake for 18 minutes, remove and top with marshmallow. Return back to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed and just starting to brown. Remove and let cool. You can place a cut straw into each cupcake if desired to decorate.

  18. The cupcake fabric is wonderful!

  19. Love this fabric! Thanks for the opportunity.

Here's an easy peasy recipe for any party/potluck:

    Dump Cake
use 9x13 pan, preheat oven to 350f

    1 can pie cherries
1 large crushed pineapple (do not drain)
    1 yellow cake mix
    1 cube butter, sliced thin

Layer in pan in order listed.
Cook 30 minutes, & check - it's done when the topping is golden brown.

    Top w/whipped cream

I've also made this with 2 cans of pie filling apples or boysenberries too, instead of the cherries 7 pineapple. It's all good!

  20. Cute fabrics! The cupcake would be an awesome applique on my daughters blanket I'm working on.

    Easy but delicious treat.

Pop two bags of microwave popcorn.
melt a half package of chocolate bark in the microwave
into the chocolate stir in about a teaspoon of peppermint extract.
Put the popcorn in a BIG bowl, pour in the chocolate and stir (with a spatula) until all the popcorn is coated. spread out on wax paper to cool.
Try not to gorge on is it good!

  28. Im on sugar overload after reading the above recipies Yum!

  29. Such pretty fabrics! Thanks for a chance to win! My favorite series of Christmas cookie recipes all start with packaged sugar cookie dough - you add ingredients such as cocoa, chips, orange peel, crushed peppermints, to come up with very unique cookies. Takes about half the time of making from scratch - and time is something we all need at this time of year!

  30. Cute fabrics - love the cupcakes. I'm not much of a baker :( but thanks & Merry Christmas

  31. I love, love, love the cupcake fabric, so cute!
